This new edition, timed especially in honor of the bicentennial celebration of the Shire Town, brings some outstanding history and stunning photography as we again feature the oldest homes in a Maine town. Houlton has the oldest homes in Aroostook County and some fascinating history. The combination of Puritan descendents and Irish immigrants make for interesting study. Monkey Publishing is proud to announce two versions with this release. An initial paperback offering, with large 8.5 by 11 inch pages is a beautiful and more affordable addition to your collection. In a month, the special keepsake hardcover edition will be released and will grace any home. Either edition makes a fine gift for those special Houlton natives on your list. The new offering, introduced during the festivities on August 18, was well received and copies flew off the table. The paperback edition will be available on this site for purchase within a few days.
